The... Conan

Considering that the first post for this site was about the untalented hack Jimmy Fallon taking over Late Night, it isn't hard to tell that I'm a fan of Conan O'Brien. His late night show was the first one that I could actually be bothered watching, and that led me to watch and appreciate David Letterman, and then to a lesser extent, look at past shows of Johnny Carson.

So to see one of the funniest television personalities get screwed over by NBC and Jay Leno, who are notorious for doing this sort of shit, well... it just makes me fucking pissed.

The guy has taken over the Tonight Show, and is struggling to hold onto ratings because he has no lead-in whatsoever, because Jay Leno is also an untalented hack. If they gave him something else apart from Jay Leno to follow, then maybe he might be getting ratings similar to what Leno had been getting.

Now it seems Conan is leaving NBC and will be going to a different network. First Letterman, and now Conan. Wow, NBC are really bad at losing really talented people to other networks.

The... Jimmy Fallon Did Something Funny?! + The Muppets?!

You read the title right. What the fuck is happening to the world, when Jimmy Fallon does something funny instead of the regular suckitude that he is known for?

I am talking about something that recently appeared on his show (which I still can't believe is HIS show, and which I still haven't watched since I turned off the first episode).

Specifically, a bit where he portrayed Neil Young and sang a cover of the theme to 'The Fresh Prince of Bel Air'. Surprisingly, it isn't that bad, and I would totally buy a single if Neil Young were to ever actually do this song... as opposed to downloading it like I have pretty much every single piece of music I have ever gotten, as I don't like buying music... buying music is for morons.

Also, I've come across this video of The Muppets, singing a version of Queen's 'Bohemian Rhapsody', and it is pretty fucking awesome.

I absolutely loved Animal's part. I would have sent the link to my brother, except for the fact that it has Crazy Harry (pictured right) in a few scenes, who my brother absolutely hates because the character used to freak him out as a kid.

Seriously, look at that fucker! He is a creepy bastard, who blows shit up and cackles like a drugged up bat-shiat crazy fuckhat.

Apparently the character doesn't get used that often anymore because of 9/11, as they say blowing things up even jokingly isn't that fun anymore. I suppose something good came from the whole 9/11 thing that Bush set up. What?!

The... Late Night

So, it is Tuesday night here in Australia and I have just watched the opening of the new version of Late Night, starring the insufferable Jimmy Fallon. I felt I had some sort of obligation to do so because the last two hosts of the show were comedy geniuses, and I was hoping that somehow, Jimmy Fallon wouldn't suck like he usually does.

Too bad that Jimmy Fallon isn't a comedy genius, and he does indeed suck like he usually does. I watched up to the point that he pleaded for the audience to stay to watch the rest of the show before the Robert DeNiro interview. My god, how the hell did this man get to be the host of a show that had David Letterman and Conan O'Brien as the previous hosts? He couldn't even look directly at the camera for his stupid 'slow news jam' or whatever the hell it was called, and looked at the tele-prompter the whole time.

Really? He still does that after all the years he was on Saturday Night Live? He hasn't learnt how to... oh, I don't know... memorize a few lines here and there? You're a fucking comedian. Did you use cue cards and tele-prompters during your career as a stand-up? Does he still giggle during every single joke he tries to complete?

All I have to say to Mr Fallon is: Please, stop raping comedy, and shoot yourself in the face already.
